Telo Martinez, a first-generation Mexican-American independent filmmaker, was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Telo studied Film Production with an Emphasis in Directing with the class of ‘21 at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, 

Telo's junior thesis film, "Lawn Dogs," received recognition as a nominee at NFFTY 2020 and was an Official Selection at Dam Short Film Festival 2021. Following graduation, Telo produced a short film adaptation of David Foster Wallace's “Everything is Green” in association with The David Foster Wallace Literary Trust.

Now based in Los Angeles, California, Telo is currently immersed in feature-length writing and gearing up for their next project, “Harrison X”, scheduled to shoot November, 2025.
